Ember is a daily publication for people who make things. Every day, four pieces. A poem, an idea, a story, a moment — sometimes from a gallery, sometimes from a science journal, sometimes from a local newspaper, sometimes from a personal blog with fifty readers.
The form doesn't matter. The source doesn't matter. Fame doesn't matter. The only question we ask about everything we publish is: is this idea alive?
We believe a creative person doesn't need the world pre-sorted into relevant and irrelevant. They need to be shown something alive and trusted to find their own way in. A mathematician and a designer and a poet can all open the same Ember and find something completely different — and completely theirs.

Ember is made by Thomas van Duijvenvoorde, under DuijvMedia. The curation is assisted by AI, and reviewed by human eyes before anything goes live. The editorial standard is simple: if it doesn't deserve your full attention, it doesn't go up.
